PRISM is a bi-monthly contemporary art event. Established at The Showroom Cinema in 2008 it utilises various venues across Sheffield to exhibit work by emerging and established artists. This October it begins a new residency at Bank St Arts.
PRISM as an event is growing in participants, both exhibiting works and organising behind the scenes, but it works more and more in an unpredictable way. PRISM as an ongoing project evolves alongside the work it shows, offering the chance to experiment with new techniques and venues for both curators and exhibiting artists. As well as offering live music at each event, PRISM offers the chance to see new performative and interactional works. Constructing a social space in which the creative sector can converse around the spectrum of artistic interest, PRISM is an unmissable event for Sheffield’s cultural community.
